Cooking With Family at Veronica’s Retreat is an intimate, home‑style culinary experience hosted by a Rajput family in their own house in Jaipur. Guests can join the class while staying at the property or book it separately as a dedicated “cooking class in Jaipur” experience.
You’ll learn to cook authentic Indian food in a real family kitchen, not a commercial studio, with both vegetarian and non‑vegetarian options available.
What you’ll experience
You’ll be welcomed into the family home and greeted with traditional Indian hospitality and a refreshing drink – chai, lassi, lemon soda, juice or buttermilk – as you settle into the lush garden or cosy indoor sitting area. Surrounded by trees, flowers and the gentle sound of birds, you’ll be introduced to the hosts and the story of Veronica’s Retreat, a home where daily life, nature and culture blend together.
This is not just a lesson; it’s a chance to experience how an Indian family cooks, eats and lives.
Our cooking classes in Jaipur is a four hour experience only available on prior booking for people looking for gastronomic food experience in the beautiful pink city.

Learn real North Indian home cooking

The class focuses on North Indian home recipes – the kind of food families actually cook for themselves and their guests.
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to Indian spices, masala blends and cooking techniques, with plenty of time to ask questions and taste as you go.

What makes us best cooking classes in Jaipur is that we organically self grow a lot of things like grains, lentils, oil seeds (from which cold pressed oil is extracted), cumin, fennel and other locally grown spices. The family was agrarian before getting into different professions but we still practice farming and horticulture. Lastly the diversity of Home recipes that we have in both vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food choice is not only gourmet in nature but will help you take back memories.
